A Friday in Quito, Ecuador

Last Friday, Britton and I had a typical day: We went to our clinics in the morning and then met for lunch at our usual cafe. The set lunch is $3 (a little expensive for lunch by Ecuadorean standards actually), it´s different every day, it´s always good, and we never get sick there, so we go there most weekdays.

After lunch, we went to the food market. Yes, they have grocery stores here, but the best local produce is at the market. There are so many different kinds of corn here, different shapes, sizes, and colors, and it´s all great! Yes, all those bags contain corn.
