The grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for. -(Allan K. Chalmers)

This is entertainment
Our property manager sent his father over to fix our thresholds yesterday and the boys sat so nicely and watched. It was kind of hilarious how entertained they were by it.

Home Depot kids workshop
On the first Saturday of every month Home Depot hosts a kids workshop where they build and paint something. Nathan built a birdhouse and a car with my dad (aka Grandpa) at his first two workshops in Tampa.
Today he went in georgia and with Britton for the first time. He made a Home Depot truck and it having fun playing with it!

My dad playing with Nathan and play dough
This was taken at my parents house last week. Greyson is now a fast crawler and pulls up on everything. Trouble! :-)

Nathan got a Mohawk from a six year old girl
The boys and I got to hang out all afternoon/evening with one of my best high school friends, Kerry and her three kids! It was so much fun hanging out on the street with all the fun neighbors. Kerry's daughter Megan was giving out free hair styles with hair gel. Nathan patiently waited for his turn too. :-) So cute!!!

Prepare to be amazed!
Nathan was gently dropped in the pool, struggled, and then followed his training! This took about 4 weeks of going everyday Monday-Friday. Luckily he really liked it after the first week. Now he can float in full winter clothing with shoes and a jacket!

Grandmama's pancakes!
It's a good thing that I was gifted the secret family recipe book this year! (Thanks grandmama Rodwell!) All my boys love the pancakes but perhaps nobody is as crazy about them as Greyson. That baby LOVES grandmama's pancakes!!! He keeps banging on his tray for more!

Dancing bunny take two
Nathan warmed up to the Easter bunny on the second take. Notice how he carefully dances around Greyson. I'm so lucky, those boys really love each other!
The dancing bunny returns
In keeping with our Easter tradition, we unveiled the dancing Easter bunny this morning. It was not that exciting. Ha! Oh well.

Nathan sings happy birthday
Nathan made a birthday cake with his toys all by himself (no prompting) and said "that's my birthday cake!" Here's the video.
I guess Aunt Margie's birthday is still on his mind. So sweet.

Potty training
We used trains to bribe Nathan to poop in the potty. ;-) He has been peeing for months but was afraid to poop in the potty. When we told him he'd get a choo choo for a poo poo, he quickly got over his fears! For a couple of weeks he got a train or a piece of track for every poop. Ha! We have quite a collection now and we love playing with trains!
I'm so proud of my big boy!!!

Easter egg hunt!
On Saturday I took Nathan and Greyson to an Easter egg hunt at the YMCA. Nathan was pretty excited about it even before he knew there were treats inside. Nathan sampled his first tootsie roll, "I love Easter egg treats!"
So funny!

Nathan got to visit NJ with my parents.
I really needed to focus my attention on Greyson so my parents took Nathan on the trip that they had planned to New Jersey. He had so much fun! I love this picture of him playing doctor with my cousin Kerri. Will this go on the wall of his office someday?
