For Britton´s 3rd week, he spent time at a community health clinic in a pueblo about an hour long bus ride south from our house. The care is free for lower-income patients and paid for by the the goverment. There are no appointment times and the lines can get pretty long.
There is a focus on women´s health and pregancy here and Britton and other students were exposed to instruments

that have not been used in the U.S. for some years now.
This last picture is what I think of as the ¨lotions and potions¨ bar. It sells natural products that claim to cure all (although the juices may be made with water that is unsafe to drink, so I prefer to accept my current condition).
This week, I continued to work at the Military Hospital and I´ve been demonstrating more PNF patterns, neur-infrah techniques,

and lymphedema treatment approaches. I also taught the PTs how we transfer dependent patients with both the PT and the patient seated to make a smooth transfer to prevent shear forces and avoid skin breakdown.

They were actually using a SCI pt by the pants, yikes! (Okay, my non-PT friends might just skip this paragraph).
