Match day is a national event when every 4th year medical student in the U.S. finds out where they matched for residency. University of South Carolina has a ceremony at The Zone (a ballroom overlooking the stadium) where each student is called to the front one by one and handed an envelope.
After shaking the dean's hand, the student then walks to the microphone, opens th
e envelope, and announces where he or she will be doing residency. Drum roll please... Britton will be spending the next 4 years at Tampa General Hospital at University of South Florida's residency program. We are thrilled and so excited that Britton matched with his first choice! When asked, Samantha said that she was not impressed with Britton's match success. She feels that we can pet her belly no matter where we live. Hmmmph!
