We picked up our rental car near the airport and headed for just west of La Fortuna, Costa Rica to the Arenal Volcano and the Hotel Arenal Paraiso about 4 hours northwest of San Jose.
We had dinner and enjoyed the hot springs at our hotel and we settled into our cabin for the night exhausted.
