The last 3 weeks in a nutshell.

What's new? Well, Britton and I had a really nice evening out at a ball for a USF medical school charity event.  It was romantic to get dressed up and have an evening alone without the baby.  Even better was the feeling that I had when slipping into a dress that I've worn only once before...in the spring of 2007, 4 years ago and pre- marriage and baby, see!--I'm not letting myself go!  LOL!

We had an impromptu visit from Britton's mom.  She was visiting the area to see a cousin and her family under very sad circumstances and we were lucky to get in a quick visit with her.  There's nothing like a little baby-lovin' to make you feel good.

Nathan is growing up so fast, it's unbelievable!!!  At 7 months, he is 18 lbs, 3 oz.  Every week it seems, he learns two new things.  He is now rolling back and forth (he started doing both on the same day) and sitting up with almost 100% success.  He has even started to play with toys while sitting independently.  One week he learned to hold his own bottle, and the next week he was doing it with just one hand!  He loves his exersaucer and his play gym.  He thinks sneezes are hilarious (from both him and other people) and this has lead to a lot of fake colds in our household!  He is getting his left front bottom tooth and, so far, only has occasional mild crankiness that is typically resolved with orajel and/or tylenol.

When he is in the mood, Nathan can be quite talkative saying mostly vowel sounds and "g" sounds.  If he doesn't move on the the "m" soon, I might just change my name to "gaga!"

  2. Those are some excellent thighs to make a base for sitting up :)
