Heather's in town and work is going great!

Last weekend, yet another cousin was in town, yay! I saw 3 cousins in 4 weeks! I visited with my cousin Heather over at my grand- parents house. This was a busy work weekend for Britton and I so I was only able to join them for dinner, but we had fun over some pizza! Even Pop-pop was having a good time!

This week my work threw me a little shower. It was really sweet and we got several practical things to use in the nursery which we are continuing to decorate. These are my favorite people at work; they are a large part of what attracts me to my job.

Speaking of that...my boss (the one holding the balloon) gave me a 5th job offer last week and I accepted. We finally settled on terms that pleased both parties. It feels great that I waited and didn't settle earlier because I really would not have been happy with the previous offers. Now I will get to keep a job I love, with great coworkers and a great manager, seeing the patient population that I want to see (women's health and chronic pain), close to my house, attached to the daycare, AND I feel that I'm being recognized monetarily for what I'm bringing to the table. I really wanted to work just 24 hours and I had to agree to work 32 hours so compromises were made, but we're excited and I think it will work out fine.

Last night Britton did another ultrasound of our son. The pictures were not really worth printing because he is starting to look like a pretzel in there, all squished up! Looks like I'm not the only one who's uncomfortable! His new estimated weight is 5 lbs. 2 oz.!

  1. Wonderful to hear about the job offer and acceptance. 32 hours isn't too bad, expecially with the day care so close by, you will love that. Hope you all enjoy the weekend with the family.
