First days in Taiwan

On June 2nd, we landed in Taiwan after a 32 hour trip from Tampa to Houston to Tokyo and finally to Taiwan. Getting in late, we had some yummy dumplings and bequeathed a suitcase full of various requested American items that we brought with us (imagine a world with no twizzlers, granola or fat-free mayo!).

One Wednesday June 3rd, Britton and I were recovering from jet lag and Todd took us on a walking tour of a nearby park and a fresh market (different vegetables and live squid!) where a very long side street was jam packed with venders and people buying their produce and dinner. We didn't take any pictures...did I mention we were recovering from jet lag?...hate to blog without pictures.

Later in the evening we met up with Shu-Fen after her work and went to her sonogram appointment with her. At first the back was turned and then the legs were crossed and then the baby stretched out and we saw that it was a...no we can't tell you that. Not until the happy parents announce it themselves. Here is a picture with all of us and the ob/gyn.

Now it's Thursday and the rain is giving me a good opportunity to blog.
