At the end of the week, we went down to Tampa, Florida for the last of ten residency interviews. Britton really liked the city and the program and the hospital is beautiful (almost makes you want to get sick?).
Friday night we had dinner with my grandparents and my Aunt Helen in Clearwater, which neighbors Tampa, and we forgot to take pictures again!
Now we are back in Columbia...studying. Britton has a test tomorrow for his surgery rotation and I am studying for the PT boards (scheduled for Jan. 7). Before we left for Tampa, I had an interview at a great job opportunity for me (working for a newly opening pelvic floor physical therapy program at Lexington hospital). They accepted the fact that I would be in Ecuador in Feb. and would be relocating in June and they still want me to start in Jan! I'm very excited about it, additional motivation to study for the boards.
I keep reading about Ecuador... but don't really know much about the trip. Did I miss an older post???
ReplyDeleteOh, and congrats again! I'm so proud of your crazy accomplishments, you overachiever! You've come a long way from that crack...
Congrats on the JOB at lexington and signing up for the boards! I'm so impressed!
ReplyDeleteHahaha :-) Janna, now you will have people talking! Yes, "the crack" was a long time ago and I guess I will always miss it.
ReplyDeleteBritton and I are going to Ecuador in Feb (Jan 31- Feb 28) for an away rotation that Britton is doing and I will be volunteering.
Alicia, don't be impressed. It was Barbara's interview/boards ambition that lit the fire under me, let me light yours! ;-) Passing on the torch.
